Description
The starter gear is the part that is located in the upper part of the starter device and is responsible for transferring power from the starter rotor to the flywheel.
This piece is press-on and integrated with the starter gear clutch. The term starter gear clutch is not common in mechanics and they are not familiar with this word, but practically the behavior of this part of the starter is similar to the behavior of the clutch. Of course, it is very similar to the car gear of a bicycle. But the performance of its components is different from that.
At the moment of starting the car, the starter gear is directed to the flywheel gear with the help of the starter plug, which receives its power from the automatic starter. And due to the spiral gear on the rotor axis, this movement is facilitated. Because the direction of the spiral gear is such that the axial force produced is towards the flywheel.
