[Game preview]True Crime: Hong Kong[“Stonemud”] + bonus

Dan (reporter): Hello Steve. Tell us about True Crime, is now the right time to reboot a series we haven’t heard from for a long time?.

Steve (Chief Producer): There was always a desire to reboot the series, but we were waiting for the perfect time and opportunity to do it. When we found the perfect location, developer, story and we thought “OK there is no better time than now.”.”

Dan: You highlighted the perfect location. We looked at your Demo. And why did your guys choose Hong Kong as the location??

Steve: We were inspired by Hong Kong action movies and wanted to take an open world game where it hadn’t been before. We settled on Hong Kong. The more we looked at it, the more we noticed the diverse architectural structure of the city. Dark parts of the city, a lot of advertising in the center, narrow streets, night markets. We wanted to go beyond the boundaries of gameplay, and for this we chose Hong Kong.

Dan: Can you give examples of gameplay and how different areas of the city will be different??

Steve: Yes of course. For example, North Point is an approximate model of Monkok. There are a lot of narrow alleys, night markets, you will have to run a lot to find your goal. You must be able to run through a crowd and overcome obstacles. But if you find yourself in Central, you will notice that the roads are much wider, open space. For example, in North Point it will be easier for you to use a motorcycle, and in Central a car. In different territories the gameplay will be varied, for example there will be chases on boats in the bay, etc.d.

Dan: Tell us about the content you will be presenting at E3 2010.

Steve: We will show 2 missions today. https://slottcasino.co.uk/bonus/ One of them takes place in the night market which I already mentioned. In it we want to show how much more varied the chases in our game are than those of other games. This mission is focused on chase and combat system. You will come across a handful of bandits, and there you will already notice the combat system of our game, offensive and defensive combat, a counter-attack system that was a great success. And probably the best thing about this is when you grab someone you can use any surrounding object, how to hit him, what to hit him with, what to hit him with. This makes the game exciting.

Dan: And the other part of the game was focused on shooting..

Steve: She was focused on driving and shooting. We wanted to create a cool arcade game with driving elements, but at the same time add elements from Hong Kong action films into it. You just watched riding a motorcycle, the ability to shoot freely, that is, freely shoot =) at any point, with the ability to aim at enemies, cars, objects. You saw how the main character used a motorcycle as a weapon against many enemies.

Dan: You’ve also assembled an all-star team. You guys from Black Box and Rockstar. Who else is in it?

Steve: I think making open world games is a challenge. We knew this from the very beginning, so we began to assemble a team that would have experience in this, so as not to make mistakes that happen when creating such games. We have a lot of EA guys who worked on Need for Speed, Skate, Godfather. The guys from Rockstar who worked on Bully. The guys from Radikal who worked on Scarface, Hulk: Ultimate destruction, Prototype. The guys from Saints Raw. A little bit from everywhere. And we are trying to combine our experience to create a wonderful open world project

Dan: When will people be able to buy True Crime: Hong Kong??

Steve: What platforms?? Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. And at the moment the release date is 2010.

Dan: Thanks Steve.

(yeah, there was a bonus at the beginning because it gives me the opportunity not to write everything a second time :))
P.S. E3 2010 interview

About the developers (in brief):
United Front Games was founded in 2007. The campaign brought together a good team, from the Godfather developers to the Halk developers (well, excuse me, it’s not my fault that everyone is firing in the interview :D)
THE END (joke).

(There was a Flash player, but since 2020 Flash is not supported by browsers)

Yes, I know the quality is terrible, but the original was like this 🙁

Well, yes, everything that was promised to us has been implemented, but let’s not forget that we are only shown the brightest moments of the gameplay and all this can get boring after 2 hours after you try all the combo attacks, counter attacks, etc.d.

It remains to emphasize that worthy actors were invited to voice the characters.
